Score Line is an independent reading of public documents. Read this before you rely on it.
What this is
Score Line collects M.Tech admission cutoffs, placement figures, company hiring records, NIRF data and GATE statistics from public documents and puts them side by side, so a GATE candidate can see what a score clears and what a seat leads to. Every number on the site carries a tag; pressing it opens the document, page or video moment it was copied from.
What this is not
This site is not run by, affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of these:
- CCMT (Centralised Counselling for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan) or the NIT that conducts it in any year;
- COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) or any IIT admission office;
- GATE, its organising institutes (IISc and the IITs) or the GATE committee;
- NIRF, the Ministry of Education, or the National Informatics Centre (NIC), which hosts the counselling pages;
- any IIT, NIT, IIIT, IISc or other institute named here, or its placement or training office;
- any company named here;
- any YouTube channel, including Kishalay Das's, whose placement videos are one of the sources.
It is not an admission tool, a counselling service, a rank or seat predictor, or advice. It does not allot seats, and nothing here changes what the official counselling decides.
Where the numbers come from
- CCMT cutoffs
- 56,065 rows: opening and closing GATE scores by round, institute, program and category, from the CCMT pages on NIC admissions, 2021 to 2026.
- IIT and IISc cutoffs
- 30,616 rows from institute admission pages, COAP round notices and RTI replies, 2018 to 2026.
- Placement figures
- 6,447 branch-level rows from institutes' own placement reports and RTI replies, plus 2,940 rows from institutes' NIRF data submissions.
- Company records
- 19,409 printed rows from 144 documents: company tables in RTI replies and official placement reports, and the slides of placement videos.
- GATE statistics
- The official GATE statistical reports for 2022 to 2026: registrations, qualifying marks, score and rank bands.
- Placement videos
- 1,723 rows read off 46 videos on Kishalay Das's YouTube channel, each linked to the second it appears, with 135 saved frames. Viewer comments are kept separately and marked unverified.
All 1,020 original files are listed on the Sources page and open in place.
How numbers are copied and counted
- Numbers are copied as printed. Nothing is estimated, interpolated or filled in; a value a document does not give is shown as n/r (not reported).
- Where two documents disagree, both are kept and both are linked.
- Company offers are never added across documents that may repeat each other; the company explorer explains the rule beside every count.
- Program and branch groupings (for example “Computer Science” or “VLSI and Microelectronics”) are this site's, made by matching program names; the printed name is always shown.
- Scanned pages were transcribed and checked against the page images, and totals were checked against printed totals where a document gives them. Mistakes are still possible.
Accuracy and your decisions
This information is provided as is, for reference only, without any warranty. Cutoffs change every year and every round; placement figures depend on how each institute counts them; video and comment figures are second-hand. Before you choose, fill or lock anything, check the official counselling website and the institute's own documents. The maintainers accept no liability for decisions made using this site.
Names, logos and trademarks
Institute names, company names and logos belong to their owners. Logos are shown only to identify the company a row refers to; they come from Wikimedia Commons, Wikipedia, Simple Icons or the company's own site icon, and do not imply any relationship or endorsement.
RTI replies
Replies under the Right to Information Act, 2005 are public information given by public authorities. They are reproduced as received. Where a reply named individual students, no names are stored or shown, only counts and company names.
Privacy
There are no accounts, no tracking and no analytics. The score, category and branch you set are kept in your own browser (local storage) so every page can use them; they are never sent anywhere.
If a number looks wrong
Press its tag and compare it with the page it came from. If the two differ, the document is right and this site is wrong.
